Inspiration: I am very inspired by the Sekiro soundtrack, but have never tried writing in that style. After seeing the theme picture, my goal for this jam was to learn a bit about that style and try to incorporate that into a song. Another huge inspiration behind the concept was the Sunwarriors episode from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Process: Progression w/ internal melody -> main melody -> arrange -> instrument selection -> orchestration -> leveling -> my sad attempt at mixing

Chosen Theme: Photo on jam page!

How it fits: The picture made me think of an action/adventure RPG taking place in a war-torn land in which dragons are revered and feared as gods. We would play as character seeking to either confront or beseech wisdom from a dragon.

I imagined "Divine Descent" as music playing throughout the player's encounter with a dragon, and "Wandering" as a theme to play while traversing through the world.

The dual themes in "Divine Descent" were meant to mirror the nature of dragons (graceful with a gentle heart; ferocious). I wanted both melodies to feel elegant, soaring, and almost distant as the dragon and the player converge.

"Wandering" shares the first theme, as it is played when showing "the gentle heart of the land." I was working on a battle them incorporating the second theme, but won't finish in time :(((
